Whitehouse chicken (and all Barberton chicken for that matter) was a staple for us growing up. It is not traditional fried chicken, but it is just as good in a different way. The "hot sauce" is unique to Barberton, and those homemade fries and the vinegar based cole-slaw are pretty unique too. Yum. So this one on Massillon Rd. Is an outpost of the original Whitehouse, but it's a little closer to my home, so I went. It is really only a take-out venue. You cannot dine in. I got the 5 piece dark meat special with three sides, and I think it was 11 bucks. Not bad at all. One thing this location doesn't have: the "backs". The back is a unique part of the chicken that most fried chicken joints discard, but Barberton chicken fries them right up and serves them. And I love them. Either way, this is quick and easy in a pinch. You have to go to Barberton though, for the real deal.
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, not busy and two young gentleman took my order and it was ready in about 15 mins. Went home and enjoyed drummettes,hot sauce(rice) and fries. delicious as always, hadn't had whitehouse in a while so I was craving it haha
Best chicken and my favorite meal. Love their drummetts. Just wish they had a place in north canton because it's a drive to get there.
